This is Torpman family arms, received by Peter when entering
the VIII:th degree within Swedish freemasonry.
The motto is: Defend what is right
The Torpman family name is a soldier's name that
comes from the small village of Torp in
Gillberga, Värmland. It has been used by our family since 1823.
The first Torpman -
Johannes - served in the Royal Värmland Regiment between 1823
and 1851.
